More about me
I work with adults, adolescents, and children navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, childhood trauma, life transitions, and medical challenges that affect both individuals and families.
My work is grounded in the understanding that early experiences can shape how we relate to ourselves and others, including patterns in relationships, self-worth, and emotional responses that continue into adulthood. I support adults in identifying and making sense of these patterns with curiosity and compassion.
My experience working with children and adolescents in school-based and therapeutic settings has shaped how I practice. I have supported children ages 4–15 with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, trauma, grief and loss, school avoidance, and family transitions such as divorce and custody changes. This work has deepened my understanding of child and adolescent development and the ways emotional and behavioral concerns show up in everyday environments.
Personal experiences with medical hardship within my own family have deepened my understanding of the emotional impact that medical trauma and chronic illness can have. Those experiences have strengthened my commitment to supporting individuals and families facing similar challenges.
People are more than the challenges that bring them to therapy. Every person has strengths, resilience, and the capacity for growth. I believe healing happens in a safe, supportive, therapeutic relationship where people feel seen, understood, and accepted.
A little more about me…
I earned my BA in Psychology with a minor in Education from UC Santa Cruz. I spent five years working as a preschool teacher before returning to graduate school to complete my MA in Marriage and Family Therapy at Phillips Graduate Institute.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy staying active through walking, Pilates, and yoga, as well as quiet moments with a good book and a cup of tea.
